I need to unleash some thoughts on the crazy ideas that seem to run our society today. What is wrong with us? This is in no particular order and by no means a complete list...
1. It is more feasible that aliens from another planet would know the fate of our world, tell us the fate of our world, or change the world than God.
2. If you do not like a contract you willingly entered into, it is not your fault. In fact, it is the fault of whomever you entered the contract with because they swindled you somehow.
3. You should not have to pay your own bills. Mom and Dad should, but if they cannot then the federal government should bail them out.
4. Even though we know that cigarettes kill you, it is still sexy to smoke. Sexy people are immune from lung cancer.
5. You must be very tall and super thin to be beautiful. In fact, if you are curvy or plump you are a selfish jerk who causes the children in Africa to starve; therefore, fat people must be evil.
5. If you do not belong to a faith or have a belief you are the most capable of defining that faith or belief system.
6. God totally does not mind if you take the scriptures out of context to prove your point.
7. Bumming around makes you happy: work makes you sad.
8. Our elders are too old and out of date to know what is best. We should always look to the young for answers to problems: youth over experience.
9. It takes a village or nation to raise a child, not parents.
10. It is perfectly acceptable to abort an unborn child, but DON"T dream of spanking your living children because that is abuse.
11. Waiting until your are married to have sexual relations is lame, in fact something is wrong with you if you haven't had sex by the third or fourth date. Sex makes you strong and independent.
12. The more extracurricular activities you can find for your child the better.
13. Having more than three children makes you a bad parent because you cannot possibly purchase all of the ipads, phones, laptops, cars, clothes and other toys, sports equipment, or ballet classes a child must have to be happy and successful in life.
14. Be an individual and do what everyone else is doing.
